Last night's sky really looked like it was on fire.

Misty blue

Today it was sunny and I felt the need to see the sea. As our email system at work has been dysfunctional for the past few days I decided to take some marking and go and have some lunch at the Hollywell cafe. At this time of year the sea is still cold and the result of warm air and cool sea is a light rolling mist that sits on the beach and stops 100 metres inland. When I walked down to luch the sea was covered in sparkley diamonds but by the time I had finished my lunch and marked my work it looked like this.

I said in the previous post that the weather today was great. This was taken at about 6.15pm. I love the way, on some days, you get that dark blue line between the sea and the sky!

The next day

People are still excited but the snow is melting fast! These were taken from my back window this morning. The blue line on the horizon is the sea!

Don't take photos into the sun

Well, they say that you shouldn't point your camera directly into the sun but sometimes it is the best view. This was the scene this afternoon as I drove to Brighton. I am looking out over the downs towards the Belle Tout lighthouse. http://www.timetravel-britain.com/06/Oct/lighthouse.shtml It turned out to be a lovely bright blue day with the sun just about to set. The pictures don't do it justice!
